Must-Have :
- Skilled home care experience (not private duty nursing)
- OASIS training and experience
- IV skills and wound care
- Experience with high-risk diagnoses : HF, COPD, MI, Pneumonia, Stroke
- Post-op care experience
Job Description :
- Perform cardiopulmonary assessments and basic wound care
- Apply ABI compression dressing and wound vac dressing
- Provide care for PleurX / Asept drain, change and care for Foley catheters
- Remove staples / sutures, use glucometers and pro-time machines
- Administer SQ / IM injections, perform lab draw venipuncture
- Possess IV skills, care for PICC line or Midline, including dressing changing and SQ port access / deaccess
- Conduct skilled home care visits (6-8 per day)
- Day / Shift hours vary according to the needs of the office
- Self-schedule visits and hours based on office needs
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable car for home visits
- Must wear scrubs in any solid color
- Access and use Cerner Charting experience is preferred
- Facility is smoke-free
Additional Information :
- 20 hours of non-billable orientation
- Compliance documentation is due 10 days before the start
- Includes 4-6 hours of mandatory module completion and pass / fail EKG exam with three attempts available
