JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS : Penn State DuBois is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual for a part time Career Development Specialist opening.

Job Summary : The Career Development Specialistwill assist with the delivery ofcareer development and career preparation services for the campus' students and graduates.

Theincumbent will develop programs to support career and professional successof students and to educate them on career choices and the employment search process.

The specialist will create opportunities for student interactions with professionals in their fields and implementexperiential programs to support student leadership development and career skills to promote their own professionalsuccess.

The specialist will also be working to support student success to graduation initiatives throughevent programmingand other activities.

Job DutiesThe Career Specialists main priorities will be to : Develop, promote and implement programming to supportcareerexploration, planning, internship and employmentassistance.

Build and maintainrelationships with students in the classroom, in groups and individually as it relates to career development.

Develop and maintain career services website.Collaborate with othercampus career coordinatorsto utilize shared resources and programming opportunities.

Partner with the student engagement office for program collaboration related to student leadership development and career offerings.

Requirements and Qualifications The CareerSpecialist requires 1+ years related experience with a Bachelor'sDegreeor higher in Counseling, Psychology, Counselor Education, Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related discipline;

or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Employment with the University for this job will require successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances : PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check.

Employment with the University for this opening will require the operation of a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties.

A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
