Personal Assistant- Founder Family Office HNWI

Our client a Charleston-based, HNWI is seeking a Personal Assistant to support the principal. This person will manage the family’s Charleston office and support the principal in his personal affairs including but not limited to personal errands, dining reservations, in-office meal arrangements, light travel logistics, and property management.

This person will report to the principal’s EA and provide backup support as needed for business affairs.

The role requires utmost professionalism, confidentiality, trust and discretion. The right fit will be a team player with a go-getter attitude who can handle a multitude of tasks to support the principal’s personal and business affairs.

We are seeking a reliable individual who wants to become a valued member of our team and takes on a no task is too small approach to the job.

The Personal Assistant will be based in Charleston and work in the family office. This candidate will work alongside members of our family office team and remotely with the principal’s 3 other assistants (based in NYC, Chicago, London).

Role Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience preferred (ideally in a financial firm, hospitality, or experience working in a field with many moving parts)
  • Exquisite understanding of professionalism, excellence, and proficiency in servicing HNW individuals
  • Able to handle a multitude of tasks
  • Autonomous; proactive and able to execute with little direction needed
  • Excellent communication; willingness to ask questions if he / she is unsure
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team player, comfortable and experienced working alongside other staff members in-person and remotely
  • Ability to maintain the utmost discretion and confidentiality for the family, fellow staff, and other protected parties
  • Above average computer skills; Zoom / Teams proficiency
  • Must be willing to sign an NDA

Role Responsibilities

Principal Management

o Arrange for breakfast / lunch / coffee for principal when in the office

o Run personal errands

o Print & bind materials when needed

o Arrange for dining reservations when needed

o Organizing principal’s mail and ensuring important documents are sent to family office HQ

Office Management

o Maintain stock of office supplies & groceries

o Collect packages and mail

o Prep office for business meetings and Zoom calls

Property Management

o Liaison with family’s property manager to ensure the principal’s homes are in order ahead of principal visits

Travel

o Arrange light travel & ground transportation as needed
