Job Description : POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinic Receptionist of Marshall Medical Center Outpatient Clinics schedules, greets and registers patients, provides reception, routes phone calls to the appropriate party, and collects payments when necessary.

In addition, this position provides clerical support to the clinic on a daily basis.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Licensure / Certification :

Knowledge :

Basic medical terminology, insurance billing, and computer familiarity is preferred.

Skills :

• Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Basic office equipment familiarity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Maintains a positive disposition at all times.
• Comfortable with regularly verifying and processing insurance eligibility and obtaining authorization requests.
