Responsibilities
Ascension Columbia St. Mary's is looking for a full-time APRN-Nurse Midwife-Certified for our Labor and Delivery Department.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Milwaukee to provide medical services to patients.
Responsibilities :
- Provide independent and collaborative primary healthcare and management of care to women before, during and after pregnancy, including care of the newborn.
- Develop a comprehensive plan of care and discharge plan based on the assessment and integration of the medical plan.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Provide education / counseling to patient and patient's family with respect to pregnancy, childbirth,
care of the newborn, contraception, family planning and gynecological care.
Provide care in the context of promoting age and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared
decision-making and the right to self-determination.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration :
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state / Compact State. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Midwife credentialed from the Wisconsin Midwives Advisory Committee obtained prior to hire
date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Education :
- Master's or Doctorate of Science in Nursing or Midwifery or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
