Roles & Responsibilities
Facilitate training and on-boarding for newly hired associates and act as culture ambassador to support a positive associate experience.
Read, understand, and mentor from task lists, SOP’s, OPL’s and OEM’s.
Ensure workers are wearing proper PPE and working in a safe manner.
Ensure quality of work is maintained to a high standard.
Co-ordinate daily tasks with other trade supervisors to ensure clear lines of communication.
Support associate engagement and retention initiatives at the facility.
Participate as a contributing member of a dynamic team, focused on safety, quality, and servant leadership.
Exhibit flexibility, adaptability to address both planned and critical response training needs.
Demonstrate effective leadership skills, team building skills and the ability to supervise and motivate effectively.
Performs other duties as required.
Fill in for Quality Supervisor in meetings and other activities, when Quality Supervisor is not present.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
1-3 years of quality control experience in an organization that has an established quality program.
Welding, Electrical, or Sheet Metal background is an asset.
Some formal or practical exposure to quality control concepts.
Basic Knowledge of lean management and 6 sigma.
Strong ability to read shop drawings.
Practical experience within a manufacturing environment.
Highly motivated, self-directed, detail oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to manage changes on the floor and work well with shift supervisors.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Working Conditions
Commercial / Industrial environment.
Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
Extended periods of standing.
Overtime as required.
