Job Overview :
Admissions coordinators who work in healthcare facilities are responsible for screening patients and matching them with the proper level of care.
As part of the process, coordinators look at the patients' medical benefits and financial responsibility forms. Coordinators may also arrange services for patients, like transportation.
Responsibilities :
- Manage patient admissions process efficiently and accurately
- Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain appointment calendars
- Handle medical records and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the office
Experience :
- Proven experience in a similar role within a medical setting
- Proficiency in using office systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, and other medical office software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
