Senior Accountant- Baltimore, MD
Are you a seasoned Senior Accountant looking for a new and exciting challenge in the non-profit sector? Look no further! Our client, a prominent and impactful non-profit organization, is on the lookout for a talented individual to join their finance team on a contract to hire basis.
Job duties of the Senior Accountant :
Lead Financial Operations : Take charge of day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights to aid strategic decision-making.
Audit Collaboration : Work closely with auditors to facilitate smooth audits and maintain financial integrity.
Budget Oversight : Play a key role in budgeting processes, collaborating with various departments to align financial goals.
Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process enhancement and implement streamlined financial procedures.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant :
- 4+ years' accounting experience in a challenging and fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Non-profit experience a plus
- Proficiency in a large ERP system and Microsoft Excel
