Job Description

Role Overview :

Bellevue's Physician Assistant Service operates independently from house staff, providing 24 / 7 coverage with PAs supervised by attending physicians.

The service consists of general internal medicine teams and one pulmonology team.

Work Schedule :

• Three 12.5-hour day shifts per week (7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM) with some nights and weekend responsibilities.
• Additional moonlighting opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver clinical care in collaboration with attending physicians
• Conduct patient evaluations, including history and physical exams, for new admissions under the supervision of an attending physician.
• Attend daily clinical rounds with the attending physician.
• Perform all related clinical tasks efficiently, adhering to high-quality standards.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans that prioritize patient and family preferences, while improving care quality and cost-effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant; or

2. Current limited permit issued by New York State to practice as a Physician Assistant.
