Qualifications
- High school diploma; ASE Certification desired
- 3+ years’ experience as a diesel mechanic
- Fleet diesel and gas experience or trade school training highly desirable.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Own your complete set of hand tools and safety shoes.
- U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
- Proficient operating standard transmission vehicles
- Valid Class A or B CDL issued by resident state or willing to obtain within 45 days of hire.
- Compliant with DOT and Company requirements
- Understanding of all FMCSA requirements and able to pass an annual PM certification.
- Safely perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
- Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and mechanisms of a diesel engine
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
- Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
Here’s What You’ll Do!
- Complete maintenance on all company-owned equipment including tractors and trailers.
- Conduct regular and preventative maintenance.
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose.
- Perform minor and complex repairs.
