Position Summary :
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Highway Project Manager to lead and oversee highway and roadway projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Hybrid flexibility available after initial period, PE is required.
Responsibilities :
- Project Planning and Initiation :
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory authorities.
- Project Execution and Management :
- Oversee all phases of highway project development, including design, procurement, construction, and close-out.
- Manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain project management best practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Stakeholder Communication and Coordination :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and any issues or changes.
- Address and resolve project-related issues, conflicts, and discrepancies promptly.
- Budget and Resource Management :
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and controlling costs.
- Monitor project expenditures and financial performance, providing regular financial reports to senior management.
- Negotiate contracts, manage procurement processes, and oversee the work of contractors and suppliers.
- Quality Assurance and Risk Management :
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet specified standards and requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Project Documentation and Close-out :
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and final reports.
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed, accepted, and handed over to the client as per contractual agreements.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
