Postdoctoral Fellow Position
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Wilma Friedman, in the Department of Biological Sciences at Rutgers-Newark.
The successful applicant will participate in research that investigates the role of neurotrophic factors in brain development and in neurodegeneration after brain injury.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct research using various biochemical and molecular techniques.
- Perform in vitro and in vivo studies using mammalian cell cultures and transgenic mouse and rat models.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications :
- Ph.D. in Neurobiology, Cell Biology, or related fields.
- At least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
