SCC seeks a full-time Student Health and Wellness Coordinator to support our Student Life Department.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Student Health and Wellness Coordinator works with complex student situations that have impacted the student's ability to successfully function at the community college.
This position is highly collaborative and plays an active role in non-clinical student case management developing and implementing both long and short-term response plans.
Examples of concerns include, but are not limited to, transition, physical and mental health, student safety, personal crisis, basic needs insecurity, and integration into campus life.
The Student Health and Wellness Coordinator does not diagnose and does not administer treatment or therapy; rather, will help facilitate a student's access to the college's and / or community services.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Student Engagement and works collaboratively with campus constituents, as well as off-campus colleagues and partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Meets with students to ascertain their concerns and needs.
Coordinates student transitions from SCC to external community providers (e.g. psychiatric / psychological treatment services, alcohol and drug treatment services, homeless shelter services, food bank services, etc.).
Maintains a system of follow up for students who have been referred to campus or community resources, encouraging compliance with recommendations and care plans.
Assists with absence notifications to faculty for students needing to be away from campus for three or more classes due to illness, hospitalization, family emergency.
Assists with the development of outreach efforts to expand awareness for Student Support and Case Management and outreach directed toward encouraging appropriate, positive student behavior.
Provides educational programming aimed to assist in the students overall well-being and development at the college (e.g. campus student assessments, workshops, etc...)
Maintains accurate case management records in Maxient.
Works with the St. Charles Community College's Student Conduct Committee.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
1 or more years Student Health and Wellness Coordinator or related work experience.

Missouri LBSW-IP or LBSW
