Overview

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Reporting Specialist, who will be responsible for reporting support as a key member of a cross-functional team that develops and maintains BI solutions that both drive strategic decision-making and improve business performance.

Your role will involve translating complex data into actionable insights and providing the organization with high-quality, timely, and accurate reporting.

Experience in SQL and a strong ability to display data with clarity is a must.

Pet Supplies Plus is a brick and mortar retailer with a strong ecommerce and omni-channel emphasis. The ideal candidate can dive deep into the data, extract key performance indicators, and present the information in an easy to digest format.

Self-direction and motivation are also key characteristics in a qualified candidate.

Responsibilities / Qualifications

The Reporting Specialist will :

  • Design, develop, and implement BI solutions including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights to end users.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external APIs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Work closely with leadership to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications and BI solutions.
  • Optimize the performance of BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they are efficient and responsive for end-users.
  • Work as a member of a wide-ranging team to ensure needs are being met both timely and reliably.
  • Write complex queries to ensure efficient and accurate consumption of data.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI solutions, including data definitions, report usage, and process workflows.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reporting features, facilitating a data-driven culture within the organization.

PAWsome Reporting Specialist c andidates will have :

Minimum of one year of experience as a Reporting Specialist or in a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and managing BI solutions.

Experience with SQL including writing queries and creating views, stored procedures, and tables.

  • Experience extracting data from multiple data sources . database, and external sources / links.
  • Proficiency in Power BI with a proven track record of developing and managing BI solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
