Job Description
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our ICT installations.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and enforce quality control of cabling, AV, CCTV, & Access Control Systems.

- Collaborate with teams of engineers, Estimators, Project Managers, and Field Installation groups to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.
Role and responsibilities
Facilitate planning and development of quality control systems for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) installations.
Not limited to Layer 1 of the OSI model : Physical layer, copper and fiber optics installations, surveillance, access control, audio / video.
- Collaborate with representatives from various functional groups assigned to a project, including but not limited to design engineering, purchasing, operations, project managers, superintendents, site leads, and foremen.
- Collaborate with teams of engineers, Estimators, Project Managers, and Field Installation groups to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.
- Review design, installation, and testing documentation.
- Coordinate and performs in-process and finished installation inspections, applying appropriate quality assurance testing models.
- Identify the root cause of quality problems and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions.
- Offer technical guidance, mentoring, and support in response to quality testing and analysis.
- Ensure contract compliance by reviewing and approving quality requirements for project requirements, manufacturers, and related services.
Required Skills / Abilities
- A thorough understanding of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) installations.
- Understanding and applying standards of the Telecommunications Industry Association - TIA, Electronics Industries Alliance EIA, and the American Standards Institute ANSI.
- Knowledge and understanding of Telecommunications Distribution Methods.
- Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and NEC codes and regulations.
- Knowledge and understanding of article 250 of NFPA 70. Grounding & bonding.
- Practical knowledge and understanding of OSHA Confined Space regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, redlines, and construction drawings.
- The ability to quickly learn the company’s quality control system.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, planning, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to write QC reports.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam a plus, and Fluke Networks a plus.
