Job Description :
Parsons New York bridge team is known as a Center of Excellence with over 100 years of experience, and our NJ office is considered a direct extension, and part of that team.
We are currently looking to add a for a Lead Bridge Engineer to lead our NJ structures team, in the capacity as the Senior Engineering Manager.
Applicant would expect to have a significant role on the Newark Bay Bridge Replacement for the NJTA
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
- The successful applicant would be responsible to develop and present concepts and project progress reports to the highest levels of the relevant agencies, be responsible for providing feedback in the moment , incorporating client feedback, and leading teams of 5-10 engineers.
- Should have solid experience in the preparation of preliminary and final design contract documents, as well as a presence in appropriate professional industry organizations.
- Experience as a project manager for the delivery of projects for the noted agencies.
- Responsible for the review and approval of discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules, as well as review and approve staff forecasting reports.
- Responsible to monitor the quality and progress of the discipline on each project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied, and implementing Parsons Quality procedures.
- Work closely with Project Managers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance or productivity.
- Responsible for overall managerial and technical direction of the discipline.
- Recruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees, offers personnel development, conducts performance evaluations, counsels, takes corrective action, as required.
- Ensure that new employees receive orientation on company policies and procedures, establishes standards and procedures manuals for the discipline and recommends improvements to department procedures.
REQUIRED :
- Must have a 4 year degree and extensive, relevant experience (15 years minimum) with extensive experience in client facing roles for NJTA, NJDOT and relevant NJ Counties.
- Must be a registered Professional Engineer in the state of New Jersey.
- Must have demonstrated success in leading the technical development for one or more of the above listed agencies, for projects in excess of $25 million in total installed cost.

Salary Range :
