Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a Sr Data Engineer, Snowflake to develop, maintain, and support data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics to support key business decisions.
In this role, you will work closely with the Tableau developer to enhance and provide data architecture enhancements based on Tableau dashboarding needs.
We're looking for candidates with a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a related field.
The ideal candidate has extensive, hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
As a Sr Data Engineer, Snowflake, you will :
- Review user requirements documents to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Review the current Snowflake environment and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Review and modify in-scope data sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Conduct detailed data analysis and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Design and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Ensure data privacy and security by adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc.
- Extensive experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehousing solutions
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools, particularly Tableau
- Excellent understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with data privacy regulations and best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker)
- Certification in Snowflake or Tableau
- Experience working in an agile development environment
Commitment : This is a full-time, 2-month contract opportunity staffed via HireArt. This role is remote and available to U.
S. based candidates able to work EST hours. Preference will be given to candidates based on the East Coast.
