Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer, performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
- Enforces PH&S, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigates reports of potential criminal conduct against PH&S staff, visitors, and property;
- responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer;
and provides protective services to high-risk areas.

Required Qualifications :
- Oregon Private Security Armed / Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training upon hire.
- Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training upon hire.
- 1 year of experience using personal computer with standard Microsoft applications.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Coursework / Training : College level coursework in professionally related fields such as criminal justice, social work, psychology or any social science.
- 1 year of Security / law enforcement experience such as corrections, police, reserve and military police.
- Direct patient care experience in a healthcare industry.
