Position Summary
Lead Benefits System Specialist is responsible for supporting system configuration, functionality, and troubleshooting for existing and new HRIS systems and / or PEO software.
You will be responsible for managing new benefits setup, benefits renewal and benefits system issue cases reported through the CRM.
You will be responsible for reviewing the cases, following up with the appropriate teams for missing information, and ensuring the Benefits System Specialist and quality assurance team have the required information to proceed with system configuration in a timely manner.
You will assist the benefits system team with configuration questions, benefits questions, and general inquiries. You will also assist the benefits sales and client relations teams by answering questions on system configuration timelines, escalated setup requests or general inquiries related to benefits setup.
Additional responsibilities include team member mentoring and special project management. You will work with the Leadership to research and identify root cause of benefits setup discrepancies and work with appropriate team to resolve, train and document resolutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support for benefits system configuration by analyzing data received from various teams (sales, client relations and implementations) and determining setup needs for new, existing and / or PEO software
- Provide support to internal team and assist in resolving configuration issues
- Troubleshoot system issues as received in CRM system
- Understand project scope, timelines, and milestones
- Provide status reports and updates utilizing internal tools
- Find creative solutions to help clients with their long-term needs
- Team member mentoring and manager task support

- Experience working with HRIS platforms
- Experience leading others and project / task management
- Ability to deescalate roadblocks using effective communication and best practices
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates degree preferred
- years' experience in the PEO industry preferred
