Typical Duties
- Plans facilities for plant, office, and production equipment layouts and installation, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations by analyzing current and long-term organizational space needs, limitations, and cost.
- Prepares and implements space layout, considering lighting, size, and condition of space; participates in space renovation and redesign;
and coordinates occupant moves while maintaining records related to space allocation / usage, and improvements.
- Coordinates with architecture / engineering / design firms or other contractors or vendors in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings and participates in the planning of facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs.
- Maintains documentation such as power diagrams, network diagrams and blueprints or other engineering drawings and develops criteria and performance metrics for facilities and equipment specifications required
to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes and that all licenses are maintained.

- Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical components and electrical equipment within established SOPs, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies.
- Develops a preventative maintenance plan, supervising external contractors required to maintain the facility ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety in Employment Act.
- Inspects and performs preventative maintenance or as-needed repairs on facilities or systems, which may include mechanical or electrical systems, HVAC, WFI (water for injection), purified water / wastewater treatment equipment or other environmental management systems, generators or power management systems, or fire or safety systems
