Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute’s central laboratory located in Ft. Myers is seeking a board certified part-time Surgical Pathologist to join our team.
Our state-of-the-art CAP-accredited clinical lab, equipped with the most advanced technologies, is held to the strictest laboratory operations and safety standards.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Primary responsibilities include sign out of surgical pathology biopsy cases and determine appropriate ancillary testing with an expectation to take on additional responsibilities as determined by workload.
- Our CAP accredited laboratory is dedicated to FCS patient, ensuring a seamless and dedicated approach.

- Ensure proper diagnosis and treatment of patients in an out-patient clinic setting.

REQUIREMENTS
- A graduate of an allopathic US Medical School of a school recognized and approved by the US Office of Education (AMG) and completed at least one year of approved residency training or an international medical school (IMG) and have a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certificate and completed an approved residency anatomic / clinical pathology.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as Medical Doctor with the State of Florida Board of Medicine; and Board Certified / Eligible in Anatomic / Clinical Pathology.
- Position also requires fluency in the English language and the ability to communicate effectively to diverse populations including other physicians, employees, patients and families.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties.
