Job Title : RN - Pediatric ICU

Duration : 3 Months Contract
Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maternal and child health, with the necessary skills in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy as required.
- Administer conscious sedation under appropriate protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patients' conditions, report any changes, and provide appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies.
Qualifications : Skills :
- A minimum of two years of experience in pediatric nursing with a focus on maternal and child health.
- Proficient in IV insertion and phlebotomy techniques.
- Experience with administering conscious sedation.
Education :
- Current New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Certifications & Licenses :
- Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred).
Languages : Proficiency in English (speak, read, write). Work Schedule :
- Hours per Week : 34.50 hours
- Hours per Day : 11.50 hours
- Days per Week : 3 days
- Schedule Notes : Rotating weekends are required, and staff must report as scheduled, including holidays.
