We seek a proficient software engineer to join the PDM manufacturing engineering team to design, develop, and maintain semi-automated manufacturing system software for Android-based medical devices.
This position will require cross-functional team collaboration with product software developers, system engineers, and external resources.
Responsibilities
- Maintain manufacturing system quality by leading the software maintenance activities, including new feature development, function improvements, and anomaly resolution
- Lead the design and development of the next-generation manufacturing system software architecture
- Lead the manufacturing line expansion efforts to keep pace with new product software and device hardware form factors
- Perform root cause analysis of manufacturing system anomalies as it pertains to the software interaction with hardware
- Lead in the development and execution of engineering studies to identify and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing medical devices.
- Participate in manufacturing system hardware and software integration and system commissioning
- Participate in the development of manufacturing system requirements and validation test cases
- Foster a strong team working environment within the department and cross functionally
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in any programming language, more specifically, Microsoft .Net framework and or Python
- Proficiency with software unit testing
- Proficiency with a software version control system more specifically (GIT)
- Proficiency with software modeling using UML
- Proficiency with SQL database design and development
- Understanding of interacting with Android devices using ADB
- Understanding of Digital acquisition (DAQ) and signal processing
- Understanding serial communications USB and RS232
- Understanding of system validation protocol development, execution, and reporting
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of ISO 13485 Quality systems for Medical devices standard
- Linux computing environments
- Android Kotlin and composables
- Network programming
- MBSE SysML and UML for systems and software modeling and requirement development
- Computing hardware diagnostics and component replacement
- OpenCV image processing
- Data analysis using statistical techniques including Guage R&R
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in software engineering / computer science with 5-10 years experience

Additional Information :
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,750.00 - $163,125.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
