Betts Law Group is seeking a versatile legal assistant to join our rapidly growing practice. This role involves traditional legal assistant responsibilities, client intake, and social media management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in all three areas or willingness and desire to learn and be ready to contribute to our firm's success.

Legal Support (50%) :
- Professionally communicate with clients, experts, court and all counsel
- Manage calendaring of hearings, deadlines, and scheduling for attorneys.
- Prepare documents for filing in State and Federal Courts.
- Coordinate service of process as needed.
- Assist with document preparation, discovery, and case management.
- Coordinate meetings and maintain organized case files.
- Manage and track costs on cases.
- Mail handling, scanning, and filing.
- Answering firm phone.
Client Intake (35%) :
- Conduct client intakes with specific signing goals for new clients each week.
- Ensure a positive and professional experience for potential clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and follow-ups.
Social Media Management (15%) :
- Manage attorneys’ individual social media accounts to compliment in place firm-wide marketing.
- Automate and ensure postings for individual attorney accounts.
- Monitor and respond to social media interactions.
- Create complimentary posts in line with ongoing campaigns with clear weekly posting targets.
Duties Applicable to All Responsibilities :
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing empathetic support and guidance throughout their legal journey.
- Implement and adhere to client service protocols, ensuring a consistent and positive client experience.
- Engage in proactive client communication to identify further needs and provide updates on case developments.
- Participate in regular team meetings, providing insights on account statuses and identifying areas for service enhancement.
- Handle other and developing duties to be determined as the firm continues to scale and grow.
- Act as a liaison between clients and attorneys, ensuring that all client questions are addressed promptly and thoroughly.
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally at a Plaintiff’s firm.
- Prior experience on personal injury intake team.
- Knowledge of e-Filing and California Rules.
- Associates degree in legal secretarial studies or paralegal certificate from an ABA recognized paralegal program. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with a sensitivity toward client concerns and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- A team-oriented mindset coupled with the initiative to resolve client issues proactively.
