EMI Services is hiring a Boiler Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on one or more boilers to produce high-temperature water for use in an establishment.
Salary
Starting at $35.00 to $50.00 / hr. (DOE) plus $4.57 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Responsibilities
- Observes and interprets readings on gauges, meters, and charts which register various aspects of boiler operation
- Adjusts controls to ensure safe and efficient boiler operation and to meet demands for high-temperature water
- Maintain a log in which various aspects of boiler operation are recorded
- Clean, oil, make minor repairs or assist in repair to boiler equipment
- Must be able to calibrate, operate, and interpret readings from a combustion analyzer to ensure efficient operation of boilers
- Prepares work orders and cost materials estimates
- Operate equipment used in the installation, repair, and maintenance on HVAC equipment
- May assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques
- PRACTICE WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment
- Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE
- Performs other related duties, as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED
- 5+ years of experience in the maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
- Experience must include inspection, disassembly, assembly, replacement, and repair of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and / or air conditioning systems to include compressors, motors, burners, pumps, filters, ductwork, pipes, valves, refrigerants, and their recovery systems and pressure vessels.
- Experience in installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and replacement of control systems
- Lochinvar Boiler Training Certificate
- Duty Phone
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Regular, dependable attendance
- U.S citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
- Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
- Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
- Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
- Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
