Find your superpower with the Graduate Development Program
National Grid’s Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a year-long development program for recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry.
Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we’ll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.
Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US.
Following Orientation, you’ll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.
About the Position
As an Associate Coordinator for Resource Coordination at National Grid, you will optimize National Grid’s approach to sourcing, supporting the timely provision of resources and the coordination of resource assignments.
You will coordinate with members of our operations team to ensure compliance with state regulations and communicate with our customers to ensure the ideal allocation of resources.
In this role you will gain both field and administrative experience as well as work closely with senior leaders to ensure the smooth execution of the annual resource plan.
This is an onsite role with 5 days of week in the office.
What You'll Do
On the Resource Coordination team, you will be uniquely situated as the go-to for all teams with questions regarding resource allocation.
In this role you will :
- Work with strategic workforce planning and the business partner to develop pipelines.
- Work effectively with the related teams and key customers, such as Human Resource Business Partners, to avoid duplications and ensure a seamless working of the resourcing process and seamless interconnectivity.
- Support the monitoring of resource levels, capacity predictions, productivity, and plan progress to make resource recommendations and analyze trends.
- Support in researching primary data sources and tracking resource utilization and performance metrics to enable analysis of key themes and trends regarding productivity, efficiencies, unit costs, capital versus expense, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor costs to ensure expenditure is in line with agreed budgets and that National Grid is receiving optimum value for money.
- Utilize innovative methods and routes and apply new techniques to support direct sourcing challenges.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution
Graduated between May 2024 and June 2025
Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025
Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy
Applicants for the Graduate Development Program must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)
