Specialty Licensed Practical Nurse - Regular Shift - DaysDepartment : MV ENDO CENTERJob SummaryThe Speciaty Licensed Practical Nurse provides general nursing care to patients, families and caregivers in the Medical Group practices.

The Licensed Practical Nurse assists and advocates for the patient and families health in support of the patient centered approach and delivery model of care, and is an active care team member.

Responsible for collaborating with physicians / providers , registered professional nurses and multidisciplinary care team members.

A Licensed Practical Nurse can perform tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health coaching, and supportive care under the direction of the registered professional nurse or licensed physician or licensed health care provider.

Nursing shall perform in accordance with the standards outlined for Licensed Practical Nurse in the NYS Education Law, NYS Office of the Professions, and by the State Nurse Practice Act.

A Licensed Practical Nurse will follow the mission, vision, I-CARE values, policies and procedures of Mohawk Valley Health System.

Core Job ResponsibilitiesGather patient measurements and collect patient dataRecord and report patient findingsPrepare patient for patient examination and treatmentAssistswith examination and treatmentsPerform tasks within the framework of supportive care, under the clinical direction of licensed health care provider or registered professional nurseSupport self-care , self- management and the established plan of care.

Utilize standard precautions and practice at all timesMaintain equipment, supplies, inventory, and a safe and clean work environmentMaintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, mandatory in-services;
