Make a difference in patient care! Virtus Healthcare Staffing is excited to partner with a renowned Level II trauma center in Sacramento, California, to find a passionate and experienced Service Unit Department Manager RN specializing in Urology and Head and Neck.

About the Role :

As the Service Unit Department Manager RN, you will oversee the daily operations of a large unit or multiple units, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.

You will lead and mentor a team of nurses and assistants, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Your responsibilities will include :

Managing and supervising a team of nurses and assistants.

Ensuring compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to establish and maintain high standards of patient care.

Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Managing budgets and resources effectively.

Resolving patient care issues and acting as a patient advocate.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience in management / leadership roles. Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience.

Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing or a health-related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.

License, Certification, Registration : Active Registered Nurse License in California. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Requirements : May require PALS, PEARS, and / or ACLS certifications. Strong knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission standards, and other relevant regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a Labor / Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

Minimum three (3) years of experience in an outpatient care setting.

Clinical specialization in Urology and / or Head and Neck.

Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
