Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to sit FULLY REMOTE for a medium sized insurance company. The SRE will be a part of the enterprise infrastructure organization that is in the process of a large cloud transformation.

This resource will provide hands-on technical skills and be responsible for maintaining the network and infrastructure of cloud platforms.

The team is looking for an SRE who can apply SRE best practices and who obtains a development and operational background, specifically with writing code within Terraform and has experience with C4 documentation to build out automation within the code.

You will be working with the networking and cloud development team to migrate data, set up and configure systems and applications in a cloud environment with a focus on automation, security, observability and resiliency.

You will be responsible to monitor, maintain and troubleshoot any issues within the cloud infrastructure. It is important for this resource to have strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as a self-starter personality that can work independently and proactively.

This is a contract to hire role and with full remote flexibility looking for this individual to travel once a quarter onsite (Indiana or Massachusetts).

Compensation : $65 / hr to $85 / hr

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-7 years of Site Reliability Engineering experience
• Infrastructure as code experience, specifically writing code within Terraform
• Experience with cloud development (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and migration skills, building and operating in highly resilient cloud platforms
• Experience with monitoring tools, specifically creating dashboards in Prometheus
• Experience working with Grafana framework to map code
