Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for an experienced RN in Decatur, GA. The successful candidate will have at least three (3) years current experience in an acute care, medical / surgical unit in an urban, academic Medical Center setting and must have worked in these settings within the last six (6) months.
Shift :
RN can expect to work eight (8) and or ten (10) and or twelve (12) hour shifts or a combination, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Pay rate : $47 / hr
Education requirements :
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant : The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in related field, but an associate degree, or diploma educational level considered with valid license and current experience or a master’s degree in Nursing or in related field is highly preferred.
Services Provided :
- Assuming a patient care assignment for a group of patients
- Assessment and care of patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses and with a wide range of treatment modalities
- Care of patients requiring special precautions such as isolation
- Inserting and maintenance of peripheral lines
- Maintaining central lines for administration of intravenous fluid
- Providing emergency care as indicated
- Administration of medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenously) and blood products
- Verification of physician orders
- Complete and accurate documentation of care according to facility / unit policies
- Phlebotomy and bedside testing
- Psychological support of patients as indicated
- Complex wound dressing care and maintenance
- May be required to work with COVID 19 positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19*
Requirements :
The minimum requirement for all registered nurses assigned to a Medical-Surgical unit shall include a current unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States) and a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate accredited by the American Heart Association.
