Known for their collegial atmosphere, interesting market transactions and commitment to career longevity is seeking to grow their impressive Fund Formation practice group through the addition of a Private Investment Funds associate.
Description
- Will possess a background in representing hedge funds and private equity funds : from start-up ventures to those with hundreds of millions under management.
- Working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
- Experience working with funds on formation and on regulatory & compliance matters.
- Understanding of fund distribution arrangements, mergers and restructurings, tax matters, securities enforcement.
Profile
- 4+ years of legal experience in Fund Formation.
- Corporate transactional experience required.
- JD degree and admission or eligible for admission in New York or Massachusetts.
- Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues.
