Operations Manager

The Role :

We are seeking a person to transition into Head of Operations at OC Investment Management. You will need to have a solid operational background within the fixed income space.

In the role you will be working closely with OCIM’s Operations, Trading, and development team. As well as collaborating with the other parties on trade bookings, data analysis and reports.

You will create strong relationships across internal / external stakeholder groups and be able to communicate effectively and work well with others.

What You’ll Do :

Support the Operations and Trading on post-execution workflow.

Ensure accuracy across the trade life-cycle process and all systems.

Position reconciliation as well as P&L inquiries within the portfolio management system.

Contribute and solve for automation and tooling wherever possible in reducing risk and gaps.

Liaise with stakeholders and team members on various risk and attribution reporting.

Ensure due diligence measures are adhered to and followed in accordance with regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities.

Liaise with our development team where necessary to ensure vendor and internal support systems are in alignment with our expectations of accuracy in booking and P&L modeling within the expected firm construct.

What You Need :

Ability to support operations / trading in a dynamic environment; 5+ years’ experience.

Knowledge of operational risk and trade life cycle events as it impacts P&L

Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, effective communication, and presentations skills

Strong understanding of financial markets and various Fixed Income products, including sovereign debt, futures, swaps and options

Understand settlements and operation risks

Self-manageable with intellectual curiosity seeking best possible solutions wherever possible.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task with ease, with close attention to detail and having a strong interest in the market and product structures.

Good To Have :

Regulatory reporting experience

Advanced Excel skills with VBA

Python and SQL skills

Location & Travel Requirements :

Based in Miami (Coconut Grove), in office.
