About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night 4x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM) Guaranteed Hours : 36 or 48 hours per week contract options available Experience : Minimum 2 years of RN experience License : WV RN license or compact license required.
Pending licenses are acceptable. Certifications : BLS and ACLS required (must be via American Heart Association) Must-Have : Experience with chest tube insertion assistance, management, and removal- Central line experience- External / internal pacemakers, wound vacuum experience Job Description : Work in a 29-bed Progressive Care Unit focused on post-op open heart and other cardiothoracic post-surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring- Care for a 4 : 1 patient ratio- Accept Med / Surg Overflow patients as needed- Work alternating weekends, with flexibility to float as necessary to meet facility needs- Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests- Meet facility’s 100-mile radius rule- Complete required orientation session held bi-weekly on Thursdays- Fulfill module requirements prior to start, included in orientation hours- Flexibility with holiday requests, limited to 1 major holiday per requestJoin a major teaching hospital with a Level IV Trauma Center, offering a fast-paced and dynamic work environment for professionals dedicated to high-quality patient care.
