The Quality Inspector must be able to correctly identify a range of parts depending on where they are stationed. Additionally, inspectors are charged with evaluating the appearance of these parts for defects or blemishes.
Finally, the quality inspector must be able to log part / defect data and communicate quality related concerns and information to the appropriate personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Identify parts entering and leaving their workstation
- Inspect Parts for nonconformances
- Report part and process data through channels such as touch screen and checklists
- Communicate with required personnel regarding quality issues and actions
- Analyze the process in which they work and offer information and insight when prompted
- Coordinate quality related activities on an individual scale
- Additional duties with similar responsibilities may be assigned as necessary
employment requirements :
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- 0-1 years experience
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills and work in different departments
- Flexible hours, ability to work daily and weekend overtime
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to visually identify and differentiate parts, defects, etc.
- Beginner level skills in data entry with use of a touchscreen / tablet
- Able to read, write and speak English and communicate effectively
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS :
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Able to stand / walk for the duration of shift (8+ hours)
- Able to lift up to 40lbs unassisted
- Able to perform frequent repetitive motions
- Able to withstand noisy environment
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and / or operation of machines (including inspection)
