Description :
This 24 bed stepdown Intermediate Care Unit monitors and cares for moderately stable patients. It offers a challenging and fast-past environment to the motivated professional.
The patients admitted to this unit may require titrating drips, post-cardiac catherization and invasive monitoring. Typically, a higher level of care than the typical medical / surgical patient, but they will not require admission to the Intensive Care Unit.
The lower nurse-to-patient ratio of 3 : 1 allows the nurse to collaborate with the healthcare delivery team, the patients, and their families for a coordinated plan of care.
Support staff is available on this unit to maximize and compliment the team. Your orientation will consists of 12-14 weeks with a preceptor on this unit and cross-trained in the Intensive Care Unit.
ACLS is preferred but may be obtained through our Career Institute free of charge to employees. We welcome new graduates!!
