Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location : Lane County, Oregon

Position Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Lane County, Oregon.

As an integral member of our special education department, you will work collaboratively with students, families, and educators to provide essential speech and language services to children in preschool through high school.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students both individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social-emotional success.
  • Monitor and document students' progress towards goals, adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise to the development of educational plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology, implementing evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Oregon state licensure or eligibility for Oregon licensure as an SLP.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality, culturally responsive services to diverse student populations.
