Instructor Medical / Surgical Nursing

Pomeroy College of Nursing at Crouse Hospital is seeking candidates for a full-time medical / surgical nursing faculty position.

The faculty position is based on a 10 month appointment. The faculty responsibilities include providing instruction for nursing students in the classroom, laboratory and / or clinical settings.

Faculty are expected to provide support and guidance for students in each of these settings, including formative and summative student feedback based upon course learning outcomes.

Faculty are expected to maintain prescribed faculty workload, including participation in College committees. This position would include day and evening hours.

Job Requirements : Required : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Enrolled in Master's degree in nursing program with degree completion plan in place upon hire.

Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) at the time of hire or within four (4) weeks after hire.

Minimum of three (3) years of full time or its equivalent in clinical nursing experience in the assigned area of responsibility.

Preferred : Master's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience with adult learning strategies / theories and teaching experience preferred.

Salaried Position : compensation based on level of professor, and experience
