Title : Design Intern
Classification : Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate* : $17.28 / hr
Location : Van Nuys, CA (HQ)
Schedule* : Onsite
DÔEN is looking for a dynamic Design Intern to join our team in Los Angeles. This position is on site / in office and will report to our Design Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assists design team with organization and filing of vintage samples and submits
- Maintains the fabric / trim library
- Assists with updating linesheets as necessary
- Supports associate designer in putting together presentations and print comments
- Creates mockups in photoshop and illustrator
- Assists the design team in trend research, colors, fabrics & trims
- Assists the design team in creating embroidery and smocking tech packs
- Builds collaborative relationships with cross functional team members
- Assists with naming styles, colors and prints
- Assists with sketch updates, when necessary
- Other projects as assigned
Skills and Abilities :
- Experience working in CAD, Microsoft Office
- Strong illustrator, photoshop and indesign skills (adobe creative suite)
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Broad knowledge of fashion with a focus on vintage
- A high level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to prioritize competing projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Action oriented and results driven
Minimum Requirements
Must be able to be in office a minimum of 3 days a week; full schedule to be determined with supervisors.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation
- Periods sitting at a desk, typing, sketching and working on a computer
- Able to lift / move / push / pull objects up to 25 lbs
- Able to walk, sit and stand for periods of time
- Able to operate equipment such as computers, copy machines, phones
- Must be able to access various areas of a given location
- Compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
- The DÔEN 2024 Internship Program is a 4 month paid project.
