Become a Financial IT Operations, Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow in the Corporate Accounting group within the Finance organization.
The successful candidate will lead a centralized effort within the organization to identify, assess, prioritize, and support process and technology improvements for the organization.
The candidate will be responsible for standing up a program to drive automation solutions, educate citizen developers on the tools available and will maintain and enforce the governance framework around technology.

Lead effort to establish a centralized automation program. Ensure stakeholders, executives and employees are knowledgeable about process improvements and can effectively utilize new tools and systems.
Lead a network of Alteryx, Python and other data analytics and automation citizen developers (the Core Team ) embedded across Finance team to drive innovation.
Responsibilities will include providing ongoing education and training, licensing support, office hours, derby days, certification support, etc.
- Maintain current knowledge of tools available for process improvements and support disposition of problems / ideas to the right technology (Alteryx, RPA / UI Path, Python, SAP, Excel, etc.)
- Prioritize and project manage ideas from ideation to stabilization. Track all developments and benefits / ensure realization and present results to organization regularly and to senior management.
- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and enforcing governance framework around automated solutions (including Alteryx, Python, Co-Pilot, etc.)
- Partner with IT to troubleshoot issues and implement upgrades, automation solutions, etc.
The Essentials
- 10 or more years of experience in an Accounting, Systems, or Finance role.
- Experience leading the execution or strategic alignment of multiple complex projects involving business process transformation.
The Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business administration, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
- Project Management Certification.
- Experience with Alteryx, Business Objects, Snowflake, Power BI, SAS, or Python
- SAP / ERP and / or PowerPlant applications / modules with deep understanding of related business processes.
- Translating complex business needs and requirements into appropriate technology solutions and implementing solutions.
- Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, and team building.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
