About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Medical / Surgical Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 11.5 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00 (12 Hour PM-AM), Day / Night Rotation ONLY - 36 or 48 hours / week Guaranteed Hours : 48 Experience : Minimum years of experience not specified License : Registered Nurse License Certifications : Not specified Must-Have : Orientation hours - 16.
00 hours Job Description : Work primarily with medical patients as opposed to surgical.- Care for patients with a variety of acute or chronic illnesses such as : - Sepsis - Various infectious processes - Acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) - Diabetes - GI issues - Fluid / electrolyte imbalances - Alcohol withdrawal - Liver disease - Substance misuse - Endocarditis - Heart disease - Skin / wound issues - Acute and chronic respiratory illnesses including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis- Work in a recognized center for adult patients requiring admission to Medical Specialties.
Various patient-to-care provider ratios depending on the pod and acuity levels : - LNA to patients : 7 : 1, 8 : 1, 9 : 1, 10 : 1 - RN to patients : 3 : 1, 4 : 1, and some instances of 5 : 1 during nights- Use geographic advantage for more acute patient placements when possible.
Additional Notes : The position is ideal for nurses skilled in handling diverse and complex medical conditions, providing comprehensive care, and adapting quickly to different patient needs.
