A large downstream Oil & Gas refinery is looking to appoint a Process Safety Engineer to support the site's PSM program in Los Angeles, CA.
The Process Safety Engineer will partner with plant teams and the larger safety team to manage / improve site compliance at the refinery.
The Role :
- Lead site Process Safety team and support site Operations team.
- Perform process hazard analyses (PHAs) to ensure all processes comply with OSHA standards.
- Provide advice and guidance on all process safety management elements
- Collaborate with the larger safety team to ensure a high level of OSHA / PSM compliance.
- Interact directly with regulatory agencies (EPA, OSHA).
The Candidate :
- B.S. Degree in a technical discipline, preferably Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years PSM experience in refinery or petrochemical environment
- Must have excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and educate team members on the importance of Process Safety
