Other conditions : Lecturer applicant pool for future semesters within the Private School Leadership (PSL) Master’s degree program;
temporary, part-time work, as needed, contingent upon student enrollment, position availability and funding. May be for day, evening, or weekend offerings on- and off-campus.
Selectee is required to complete the COE New Faculty orientation in the first year and pass a criminal background check and Title IX training.

- Education Law
- Educational Inquiry
- Introduction to Educational Administration
- Human Resources Management
- Principals of School Leadership
- Teacher Development and Evaluation
- Seminar in Governance and Policy
- Educational Finance
- Culture and Community
- Seminar in Funding Private Education
- Non-Profit Management
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach various undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Departments of Educational Foundation (EDEF) and Educational Administration (EDEA).
- Prepare course syllabi that meets COE accreditation standards.
- Mentor and assist students.
- Complete grades on a timely basis.
- Attend faculty meetings and other duties that the supervisor assigns.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master's degree in Education or related field from a college or university of recognized standing, with the major work in the field in which the instructional assignment is made;
equivalent experience in a relevant area will be considered (2 years minimum).
- Evidence of ability to teach effectively and to direct group discussions.
- Poise and good address for meeting and conferring with others.
- Ability to travel independently to various geographical locations in a timely manner. Requirement may be fulfilled by a valid Hawai'i Driver's License (class 3), comparable driver's license, or other means of transportation which meets position needs.
- Any equivalent combination of education and / or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience teaching at the College level.
- Experience in a K12 school environment setting as a teacher, advisor, or administrator role.
