Decision Technologies seeks a qualified Integration, Test, Checkout Engineer (Senior) to join our on-site team in San Diego, CA, or Arlington, VA.

Some hybrid work arrangements may be possible.

Position Description :

This is an exciting opportunity to support Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific working on digital transformation of the Naval Operational Architecture, model-based systems engineering of critical Naval cross-domain mission threads, and cybersecurity engineering of next generation Naval information systems and tactical networks.

Decision Technologies seeks a motivated individual with broad skillsets and experiences who can demonstrate a history of achievement in engineering services for the Navy and / or larger DoD.

MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET OR TS / SCI CLEARANCE

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Perform Cybersecurity risk assessments on deployed Navy systems, system functions and interconnection
  • Analyze and develop mitigation plans, corrective actions, and contingencies for risks identified during Cyber Risk Assessments and Penetration Testing
  • Track operational changes to the DoD and DON cybersecurity initiatives and provide implementation guidance and identify policies affecting cost, schedule and performance criteria to support Navy cybersecurity goals.
  • Evaluate cybersecurity requirements implementation across the acquisition lifecycle to make recommendations on cybersecurity risks and mitigations
  • Develop cybersecurity metrics to include data collection, monitoring, analysis, and reporting and evaluate independent cybersecurity technical assessments for cyber risk, software assurance, penetration testing, and other related cybersecurity testing
  • Evaluate cybersecurity technical assessments and develop technical and process efficiencies throughout all Risk Management Framework (RMF) steps and develop implementation guidance for RMF execution for efforts throughout system development.

Required Qualifications and Skills :

  • 6 years' experience Government related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs.
  • At least 4 years' experience in any of the following :
  • Comparative multi-domain HSI engineering analysis, impact assessments, trade-off studies of complex systems.
  • Design, installation, integration, and test support either in a laboratory or direct applications.
  • Design documentation / specification development.
  • Test planning and test procedures development, test conduct, analysis, and reporting. e. HSI-related engineering requirements, performance and risk analysis.
  • Applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate systems.
  • Applying engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition, training, and resource management.
  • Conducting Task Analyses (e.g., Mission Task Analysis, Top-Down Functional Analysis, Critical Task Analysis).
  • Design, installation, integration, and test support either in a laboratory or operational systems.
  • Understand Naval operations from unit level through operational staff and headquarters planning
  • ABET Accredited BS Degree from ABET recognized engineering curriculum. Examples include :
  • ME / EE / IE / CSE. OR BS Degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that includes 24 semester hours in physical science and / or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
  • Examples include : Applied Math, Applied Physics, Operational Research, Modeling and Simulation, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Naval Architecture.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, such as Cameo or MagicDraw.
  • Experience with SW factories, SW development tools, and SW test pipelines
  • Familiarity and experience working with Navy radars, electro-optical and infrared sensors, guns, missiles, electronic warfare, and other warfare systems.

Travel Requirements :

25% to various Naval activity centers, including San Diego, CA; Washington, DC; Norfolk, VA; Charleston, SC; Denver, CO; and Hawaii.
