Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager in Fairfax, VA, to oversee the planning, coordination, and tracking of information technology projects throughout their full lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have experience assessing customer requirements, identifying technology solutions, and managing multidisciplinary teams.

This role involves developing project schedules, tracking progress, managing budgets, and ensuring successful project delivery.

The Technical Project Manager will also provide analysis and consultation to support the development of infrastructure and integration issues, including security and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct planning, coordination, and tracking of IT projects, managing all full lifecycle tasks.
• Assess customer requirements and provide recommendations on appropriate technology solutions.
• Identify and evaluate technology solutions, assessing their fit for project needs.
• Coordinate and direct multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
• Develop and manage project schedules using project management systems.
• Assess project risks, track progress, and create dashboards to monitor and report on project status.
• Manage resources, including solution vendors and implementers, and estimate project costs.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial constraints.
• Provide analysis and consultation to county IT staff, supporting the development of infrastructure and addressing integration issues, including security and recovery.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and tracking IT projects through their full lifecycle.
• Experience assessing customer requirements, identifying technology solutions, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in developing project schedules, tracking progress, and managing project budgets.
• Strong ability to develop dashboards, report on project progress, and manage vendor tasks.
• Familiarity with project management systems and methodologies. Additional Details

The base range for this contract position is $40 - $70 / per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
