About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Days (Flexibility during holiday weeks required) Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week Experience : Minimum of two years of nursing experience License : Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) - Intermediate Must-Have : - Ability to circulate for C-sections - Ability to triage for obstetrics Job Description : - Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting.
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process. - Participate in educational programs and use patient education materials relevant to the population.
- Assess readiness to learn of the patient, family, and caregivers, and evaluate patient outcomes. - Demonstrate competence in the care of patients with complex problems, including appropriate physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
- Perform point-of-care testing as required and organize care based on patient and family needs. - Develop goals to promote professional growth and participate in intra / interdepartmental collaboration.
- Recognize and assess data from complex situations to determine priorities for care and develop relationships with families.
- Collaborate with patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care, including cultural and ethnic considerations.
- Stay informed on research articles applicable to practice and bring ideas to staff for assessment. Schedule Notes : - Flexibility during holiday weeks is required.
- Limited RTO requests approved during holiday periods. This position is an opportunity to practice in a dynamic environment, providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families during significant life events.
