About The Position
Job Title : CVOR Tech Job Specialty : Surgery - General (Major) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour days Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 1 year in cardiovascular procedures License : Graduation from a surgical technologist program Certifications : BLS, preferably CST certification Must-Have : Cardiovascular experience- BLS certification- At least 1 year of experience in cardiovascular procedures Job Description : Perform duties as a surgical technologist for cardiovascular and vascular procedures, as well as general and orthopedic procedures as needed.
- Utilize equipment specific to the surgical unit. No computerized charting is required.- Work shifts from 0645-1515, Monday to Friday, with some starts as early as 0600 as needed.
- Be available for weekday and weekend on-call duties; weekday call starts at 1430, and weekend call starts at 0700.- Wear hospital-laundered scrubs as part of the dress code.
- Participate in a 1-week orientation program, with 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday.- Work in a department with 15 operating rooms.
