If you have bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering of related subject area, along with five plus years of product development experience, and an understanding of PCBA development, component selection, component qualification, low voltage DC power control, and associated manufacturing processes, we want to speak with you! We are currently looking for a Sr.
Electrical Engineer I to join our Engineering group in Middleton, WI but are open to a remote work arrangement. The role will provide role model leadership and hands-on support and mentorship to team members while supporting other functional teams in the organization.
What you will be doing :
- Performing assigned Electrical engineering work and goals.
- Providing concepts, trade-off analysis, preliminary cost estimates and plan development schedules for Electrical systems that meet customer requirements, time to market commitments and that are within target cost commitments of the project.
- Supporting Operations and Quality in continuous improvement activities.
- Developing and maintaining product requirements, specifications and test methods.
- Developing and performing test plans to verify system & component performance
- Supporting the development and standardization of engineering test plans to validate new or existing Electrical systems within a regulated environment.
- Communicating and collaborating with other engineers, managers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Providing technical support on multi-functional teams ensuring new products and continuous improvement objectives can be achieved.
- Preparing and delivering complex engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally.
- Preparing, reviewing, and supporting Intellectual Property
We want you to have :
- 5+ years’ experience in a product development electrical engineering role
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related subject area
- Detailed understanding of PCBA development, component selection, component qualification, low voltage DC power control, and associated manufacturing processes.
- PCBA Design & qualification experience.
- Experience with Altium, OrCad, LTspice, PSpice, or other PCBA layout and simulation tools.
- Experience with hands on troubleshooting and capturing of data with multimeter, oscilloscopes, and other instrumentation.
- Programming and firmware experience is desired.
- Strong critical thinking skills & organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communications skills both written and oral, including the ability to navigate potentially challenging situations both internal and external to the business.
- Comprehension of Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in regulated environments (FDA / MDD etc.).
- Ability to assess complex data objectively and to make scientifically sound decisions.
- Strong computer skills, i.e., Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Visio, Statistics Software such as Minitab or Statistics, etc.
