GENERAL SUMMARY : Department : Emergency RoomSchedule : 40hr, Day Shift, Sunday - SaturdayCoordinate and develop programs with emergency medical services providers.
Act as a liaison between hospital and emergency medical services providers to increase volume of patients brought to emergency room.
Oversee hospital training regarding emergencies.Ensure plan meets federal, state and other regulatory requirements.Educate emergency medical services providers of changes in pre-hospital standards of care.
Establish quality review process for emergency medical services run sheets and follows up with providers.Assist in the development of marketing and communication programs directed towards emergency medical services providers to increase awareness of hospital's range of services.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate degree / Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience requiredCERTIFICATION / LICENSE REQUIRED : Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Paramedic credentialed from the Michigan Emergency Medical Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
