Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) :
- Provides plan care for all resident attending to.
- Documents the patient care activities performed on the unit.
- Must document changes and follow up on condition.
- Organizes, cleans, and maintains the patient / resident units.
- Ensures that resident’s / patient’s rights are adhered to.
- Participates in departmental activities and follows established guidelines.
- Performs related duties as required.
Requirements of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) :
- Graduated from an accredited LPN program
- Currently licensed / registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Licensed Practial Nurse (LPN) license in good standing throughout employment.
- One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledgeably and competently deliver quality nursing care to patients
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
