POSITION DESCRIPTION :
Responsible for coordinating activities and performing administrative duties that support the work of the Health Center Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Center Manager Designee when HCM is out.
- Approve payroll
- Oversees employee schedules
- May be responsible for calls / text for call ins / off
- Requests float pool
- Pre-screening applicants
- Onboarding applicants first day in the Clinic
- Supports Athena boxes as applicable (to cover PTO, illnesses or approaching thresholds)
- Lead / Actively participate in Health Center meetings
- Supports / witnesses with interviews, annual evaluations and counseling
- Address some patient complaints
- Responsible for incoming mail
- Send in IT / Risk Management / HR requests when Manager is unavailable
- Approve and submit items to accounts payable, if the HCM is not available
- Other duties and / or projects as assigned by the HCM within the Coordinator’s scope of practice
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
- Ability to lead by example
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to set boundaries as they relate to working with the team versus leading the team
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
The educational requirement is a High School Diploma or GED. Prior experience as a team lead, Supervisor, etc. is desired
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Position is primarily sedentary and involves performance of non-strenuous activities of an administrative nature. Local travel is required.
A valid driver’s license and insured automobile are required.
WORK SCHEDULE :
Normal work hours for this position are Monday through Friday - dayshift. Attendance at offsite meetings will be required with no overnight stay.
Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
